I'm a theatre designer for scenery, projections, and costumes. I have a deep desire to create immersive, engaging worlds full of possibility and opportunity, spaces that take on a life of their own, that tell stories and impact audiences and practitioners far beyond the theatre walls. I love collaborating with my fellow creatives in the creation of those cohesive, seamless worlds that speak to the heart of the story and showcase the artistry of all those involved.
My particular areas of research focus on new media and advanced technology for the theatre, including the applications of computer science, interactive technologies, projection mapping, motion tracking, generative art, and video game theory. Perhaps more importantly, I am passionate about accessibility justice in theatrical spaces and seek to create equitable environments where artistry can thrive.
My work has been seen in professional theatres across the Midwest, earned awards at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, been presented at the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, and published in journals such as TD&D, The Mercurian, and IJEA.
I am passionate about teaching and am thrilled to be the Assistant Professor of Scenic Design at Baldwin Wallace University in Cleveland, OH, where I am the resident scenic designer and projection designer for BW's Conservatory of Performing Arts. I earned a BS in Mathematics & Computer Science and a BA in Theatre Arts from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, and an MFA in Scenography from the University of Kansas.
Thank you for your interest in my work!
